2018 My Place Competition: Prizes Announced!

With just over two weeks remaining of the 2018 My Place Competition, it’s time to highlight the great competition prizes.

A high number of entries are flooding in for the 2018 My Place Competition, making it the most popular student competition in ACTF history.

ACTF Head of Production Bernadette O’Mahony – who worked as an Executive Producer on both series of My Place – will have the difficult task of judging the short-listed stories in each category. Bernadette will be looking for engaging narratives which tell the story of a fictional current day My Place character, including:

  • The character’s name, background and their family life
  • Clothing and toys the character would have
  • Reference to the fig tree that appears throughout the series.

All students who enter the competition will receive a certificate of participation and a My Place poster. Three lucky students from each category, along with their teachers, will also win ACTF Shop vouchers:

Years 3 and 4

  • 1st prize: $100 ACTF Shop vouchers for both the winning student, and their teacher
  • 2nd prize: $50 ACTF Shop vouchers for both the winning student, and their teacher
  • 3rd prize: $25 ACTF Shop vouchers for both the winning student, and their teacher

Years 5 and 6

  • 1st prize: $100 ACTF Shop vouchers for both the winning student, and their teacher
  • 2nd prize: $50 ACTF Shop vouchers for both the winning student, and their teacher
  • 3rd prize: $25 ACTF Shop vouchers for both the winning student, and their teacher

Entries close on 31 August 2018, and we can’t wait to read your students’ creative work!
